I love how Summer Lee ties actual biblical events with fiction stories of imperfect people... Like us! This was the perfect book to read after her Glorious Companions series. I really loved this book!
I always enjoy reading a Summer Lee book. I love how she weaves in historical and biblical events with her characters. They struggle with the same thing we all struggle with. Life decisions. I liked Mariah and the other characters in the story. The writing is simple and easy to read and very enjoyable. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Glorious Campanion series from Summer as well.
I'm sorry, but I must write an honest review. The writing was extremely amateur. Incorrect words were often used. Ex "The queen was transformed to heaven." It was so bad I couldn't go past 40%… The conversations were ridiculous and nothing was appropriate for the time period. I see that the author is supposed to be an award winner, but it was some of the worst writing I've ever read. And I read a book about every three days.
Absolute waste of time and money.
The book is a little repetitive at times and the author seems to interject her opinions but otherwise an easy book.
Enjoyable reading.
